The Victron Orion-Tr Smart 24/24-17A is a reliable and efficient DC-DC charger purpose-built for 24V vehicle, marine and off-grid power systems. It provides intelligent, configurable charging to keep secondary battery banks operating safely and efficiently in demanding environments.

Bluetooth Smart Connectivity

Integrated Bluetooth allows full configuration and monitoring via the Victron Connect app. Charging parameters can be adjusted directly from your phone or tablet, with real-time visibility of voltages, currents and system status. Firmware updates are easily applied to keep the charger up to date.

Configurable Charging Performance

Charging behaviour can be tailored to suit different battery types and system requirements. The Orion-Tr Smart is compatible with modern smart alternators and offers adjustable input and output settings, allowing precise control over how power is delivered to your battery bank.

Intelligent 3-Stage Charging

An adaptive 3-stage charging algorithm ensures safe and effective battery charging. Bulk mode delivers fast charging when batteries are low, absorption completes the charge in a controlled manner, and float mode maintains battery voltage without overcharging. A fixed output voltage mode is also available for applications requiring a regulated DC supply rather than multi-stage charging.

Remote On/Off Control

A dedicated remote on/off terminal allows the charger to be controlled via ignition signals, switches or external relays. This makes system integration straightforward and is ideal for installations where the charger is not easily accessible.

Scalable for Larger Systems

For higher current requirements, multiple Orion-Tr Smart units can be connected in parallel. This makes the charger suitable for larger 24V battery banks and higher-demand systems.

Built for Harsh Environments

When installed with terminals facing downward, the Orion-Tr Smart achieves an IP43 protection rating, offering resistance to water spray and debris. This makes it suitable for engine bays, marine compartments and other challenging installation locations.
