Scanstrut Ventura Quick-Connect Cold Water Outlet & Wash Down Kit

The Scanstrut Ventura Cold Water Outlet gives you a neat, permanently mounted water connection on the outside of your canopy, camper, caravan or boat without leaving a hose fitting permanently exposed.

Open the spring loaded lid, push in the supplied coiled hose and you have up to 3 metres of reach for rinsing muddy gear, sandy feet, bikes, fishing equipment, the dog or just cleaning up around camp. Once you're finished, the push to release connection automatically seals the outlet when the hose is removed.

The kit includes a stainless steel sprayer with adjustable jet and shower patterns, making it a particularly tidy solution for canopy, touring or caravan setups with an onboard pressurised water system.

Quick Connect, Self Sealing Outlet

The built in quick connect fitting makes accessing your onboard water simple. The hose can be connected one handed when needed, while the self sealing coupling shuts off the water supply as the hose is disconnected. This means there is no separate external tap to close each time you pack the hose away. The coupling itself uses nickel plated lead free brass and is rated for water systems up to 8 Bar or 115 PSI.

3 Metre Coiled Hose

The supplied 9mm PU hose extends out to 3 metres while taking up only around 420mm when coiled. That gives you useful reach around a vehicle or camper without having several metres of loose hose to store after each use.

Stainless Steel Adjustable Sprayer

A stainless steel handheld sprayer is included with a locking flow switch, allowing the water to remain on without holding the trigger continuously. The adjustable spray head can be changed between a concentrated jet and broader shower pattern, making it useful for everything from washing equipment to rinsing people and pets.

Built for External Installations

The Ventura outlet uses marine grade components and has been developed for exposed installations on boats, campers, caravans and overland vehicles. With the lid correctly closed, the front of the outlet carries IP68 and IP69K protection. The spring loaded lid also incorporates a 90 degree holding position, making it easier to access the connection while in use.

The waterproof rating applies to the front of the correctly installed unit with the lid closed. The outlet should not be installed in a position where it may be continuously or partially submerged.

Clean Ventura Series Installation

The Cold Water Outlet shares the compact external design used across Scanstrut's Ventura range, allowing water, solar, USB and 12V connections to be installed with a consistent finish across a canopy or camper.

The rear water connection uses a standard 1/2" BSP thread, making it straightforward to integrate into a suitable onboard cold water system. Scanstrut recommends installing an isolating valve between the outlet and the onboard water supply so the unit can be isolated for servicing if required.

Installation

The outlet connects to an onboard cold water system using a suitable female 1/2" BSP fitting. Installation requires two 38mm holes and the supplied drilling template should be used to complete the final cutout. Scanstrut recommends using an appropriate thread seal such as PTFE tape on the water connection and checking the complete installation for leaks before use. Professional installation is recommended where required.
