Made for Airing Up After the Tracks

Dropping tyre pressures can make a huge difference in sand, corrugations and off-road terrain, but eventually those tyres need to come back up to road pressure. Saber rates the Select Series at 135 litres per minute, with a published inflation time of approximately 2 minutes 15 seconds to take a 265/70R17 tyre from 0 to 40PSI under its test conditions. Real-world inflation times will vary with tyre volume, starting pressure, temperature and electrical supply, but it gives you a useful indication of where this compressor sits in terms of performance.

100% Duty Cycle

One of the more useful specifications on the Select Series is its 100% duty cycle at 72PSI. Rather than being designed around short bursts of operation followed by mandatory cool-down periods, the compressor is built for continuous operation within its rated conditions. That becomes particularly useful when you’re airing up four larger 4WD tyres consecutively instead of just topping up a single tyre.

Designed to Manage Heat

Twin compressors can generate a substantial amount of heat when they're working hard. The Select Series uses an integrated internal fan and cooling-fin design to help manage operating temperature during extended use, alongside thermal overload protection if conditions move outside the compressor's safe operating range.

Portable Hard Case Setup

The hard-case version keeps the compressor, air system and inflation equipment together in one portable package. It can be stored in the vehicle when travelling, moved between different vehicles or removed completely when it isn't needed.

The case also incorporates an aluminium air reservoir, providing stored compressed air within the portable setup.

Electrical Protection Built In

The compressor operates from a 12V supply and includes a dual-fuse power harness using two 50A ANS-type fuses. It also incorporates:
