A Lighter Way to Build a Winch Recovery Kit

The Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring provides a lightweight alternative to a conventional snatch block, while the included soft shackles replace heavy steel connections in suitable recovery applications. At just 3.45kg for the complete kit, it provides a useful amount of recovery capability without filling your recovery drawer with unnecessary weight.

Two Soft Shackles for Different Jobs

The kit includes two different Saber soft shackles:

• 20,000kg HDX Technora-bound soft shackle
• 18,000kg soft shackle with protective sheath

The HDX provides a high-capacity general recovery connection, while the sheathed shackle adds protection around areas where additional abrasion resistance is useful. For suitable recovery points, soft shackles are also much lighter and easier to handle than traditional steel alternatives.

One Utility Rope, Plenty of Options

Rated to 15,000kg, it can perform several roles within an appropriate recovery setup, including use as a short winch extension, tree trunk protector, equaliser rope or connection around suitable non-standard recovery points. Having one compact rope capable of handling several jobs helps keep the recovery kit simpler and reduces the amount of individual gear you need to carry.
