The Saber Offroad 4K Ultimate Recovery Kit brings together kinetic and winch recovery equipment specifically around lightweight 4WDs, compact SUVs and larger side-by-sides. At the heart of the kit is a 9m 4,000kg kinetic recovery rope, backed up by soft recovery connections, a winch extension rope, tree trunk protector and Saber’s Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring. It’s a much more complete setup than the standard 4K Kinetic Recovery Kit, giving smaller vehicles the equipment to handle a broader range of recovery situations without unnecessarily upsizing the kinetic rope.

Recovery Gear Sized for Smaller Vehicles

A kinetic rope needs to stretch under load to store and progressively transfer energy between the vehicles. Using a rope that's unnecessarily heavy for a lightweight vehicle can reduce how effectively it behaves during the recovery. The 4K Ultimate Kit starts with Saber's 4,000kg kinetic rope, making it far better suited to vehicles in the class of the Suzuki Jimny, Subaru Forester, Nissan X-Trail, Land Rover Discovery Sport and similar lightweight 4WDs.

More Than Just a Kinetic Recovery Kit

Where the standard Saber 4K kit focuses on kinetic recoveries, the Ultimate Kit adds the equipment required for a much broader range of winch recovery situations. The 20m winch extension rope provides additional reach when your normal winch line can't reach the available anchor point, while the tree trunk protector and Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring give you more options when setting up a recovery in the bush. For someone building a complete recovery setup from scratch, it means fewer individual components need to be sourced separately.

Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring

The included Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring carries a 12,500kg Working Load Limit and provides a lightweight alternative to a conventional steel snatch block when used with compatible synthetic winch rope and soft shackles. It can be used to redirect a winch line or as part of an appropriately configured mechanical-advantage recovery system while keeping overall recovery-kit weight and bulk down.

Soft Recovery Connections

The kit combines a 7,000kg HDX Technora-bound soft shackle with an additional 12,000kg soft shackle featuring a protective sheath. The HDX shackle provides a lightweight general recovery connection, while the sheathed shackle offers additional protection where abrasion is more likely. Both help reduce reliance on heavy steel recovery hardware where suitable soft-shackle-compatible recovery points are available.

Winch Extension and Tree Protection

The included 20m SaberPro winch extension rope is rated to 6,000kg and gives you considerably more reach when the available recovery point is beyond your normal winch line. A 5m, 13,000kg tree trunk protector is also included for suitable tree-based winch recoveries, providing a wide connection around the tree rather than wrapping the winch rope directly around the trunk.
