Saber Offroad Ultimate Recovery Kit 22K

When you’re recovering really heavy rigs, the loads involved are on another level. The Saber Offroad 22K Ultimate Recovery Kit brings together a complete heavy-duty kinetic and winch recovery setup specifically for large 4WDs, trucks and vehicles with a GVM or GCM of approximately 7,500–11,000kg.

At the centre of the kit is Saber’s 9m 22,800kg Heavy Duty Kinetic Recovery Rope, backed up by twin 24,000kg HDX soft shackles, a 24,000kg sheathed soft shackle, 20m winch extension rope, tree trunk protector and 12,500kg WLL Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring. Gloves, a winch dampener and Saber’s Ultimate Recovery Gear Bag are included as well, giving you a properly rounded and well organised recovery setup.

Built for Heavy Vehicle Recoveries

As vehicle weight increases, recovery forces rise quickly. The equipment you might comfortably use on a normal touring 4WD may simply not be appropriate once you move into large trucks, heavily loaded vehicles and commercial or agricultural applications. Saber specifically recommends this kit for vehicles with a GVM or GCM between approximately 7,500kg and 11,000kg. That makes it the heavy-duty step up from the 12K and 16K Ultimate kits rather than simply a larger rope packaged into the same setup.

22,800kg Heavy Duty Kinetic Rope

The included 9m kinetic rope is rated to 22,800kg and is designed to progressively transfer energy between vehicles during a kinetic recovery. Rather than applying recovery force as abruptly as a low-stretch connection, a kinetic rope stretches under load and releases that stored energy progressively when correctly matched to the vehicles involved. For vehicles in this weight class, correct recovery technique and appropriately rated recovery points are particularly important.

Serious Soft Recovery Hardware

Two 24,000kg HDX Technora-bound soft shackles are supplied for high-capacity recovery connections, along with an additional 24,000kg SaberPro soft shackle with a protective sheath. Soft recovery components help reduce the weight and bulk associated with carrying large steel shackles, while the protective sheath on the additional soft shackle provides extra protection in suitable high-load applications.

Winch Recovery Covered Too

Saber also includes a 20m 13,200kg winch extension rope, giving you additional reach where the available anchor point is beyond the length of your normal winch line. A 5m 13,000kg tree trunk protector is included for suitable tree-based recoveries, alongside Saber’s 12,500kg WLL Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring for compatible synthetic winch setups.

Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring

The supplied Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring provides a lightweight alternative to a traditional snatch block for use with appropriate synthetic winch rope and soft shackles. It can be used to redirect a winch line or form part of a suitable mechanical-advantage recovery system without adding the weight and bulk of a conventional steel pulley block. The included ring carries a 12,500kg Working Load Limit.

The complete kit packs into Saber’s Ultimate Recovery Gear Bag, keeping the rope, shackles, ring and supporting equipment together and ready when you need it. The full kit weighs 12.79kg and measures 460 × 220 × 150mm packed.
