Why Use a Recovery Ring?

A recovery ring performs a similar role to a snatch block in a winch recovery by redirecting the winch line or helping create a mechanical advantage.

The big difference is simplicity and weight. With no moving pulley or heavy steel body, a recovery ring is much easier to carry and store, particularly when paired with synthetic winch rope and soft shackles.

For touring vehicles where every bit of weight and storage space counts, that makes a noticeable difference.

Designed to Be Kinder to Synthetic Rope

The Saber Ezy-Glide Recovery Ring was developed in consultation with winch rope fibre manufacturers to help minimise unnecessary wear and fatigue on synthetic rope during recovery use.

Its smooth profile is designed to allow the rope to travel around the ring with less abrasion than a poorly matched or rough recovery surface.

The ring must only be used with synthetic winch rope and soft shackles.

Twin 18,000kg Soft Shackles Included

Two Saber 18,000kg soft shackles are included in the kit, each with a protective sheath to help shield the fibres from abrasion and contact with rough surfaces.

Soft shackles also remove the need for heavy steel bow shackles in many suitable recovery connections, helping keep the complete kit lightweight and easy to handle.

Keep It All Together

The supplied small clear-top recovery bag keeps the ring and shackles stored together and easy to find when you actually need them.

The clear lid makes it simple to identify the contents without unpacking the whole recovery drawer, which is a small detail that becomes very useful when you're working quickly during a recovery.
