Product details
For lighter recovery setups where you still want the protection of a sheathed synthetic connection, the Saber 6K Soft Shackle provides plenty of strength without adding bulky steel hardware to the recovery bag. Manufactured from SaberPro fibre with a 6,000kg minimum breaking strength, it uses an abrasion-resistant protective sheath around the working section of the shackle to provide an additional layer of protection where it contacts compatible recovery equipment. At just 150g and approximately 220mm long, it's compact enough to keep permanently in a 4WD, side-by-side or general-purpose recovery setup.
Key Features
- 6,000kg minimum breaking strength
- SaberPro fibre construction
- Abrasion-resistant protective sheath
- High abrasion and impact resistance
- Lightweight 150g construction
- Compact alternative to traditional steel shackles
- Flexible synthetic construction
- Suitable for appropriately rated vehicle recovery applications
- Also suitable for marine and agricultural applications within its rated capacity
- Designed and tested in Australia
- Saber rated recovery products are batch tested to destruction through a NATA-accredited laboratory
Compact Recovery Connection
At only 150g, the Saber 6K Soft Shackle gives you a strong recovery connection without the weight and bulk of traditional steel hardware. Its flexible construction also makes it easy to feed through suitably designed recovery points, recovery rings and other compatible equipment, while taking up very little space in a recovery bag or vehicle drawer.
SaberPro Fibre
The shackle is manufactured from Saber's proprietary SaberPro fibre, combining high tensile strength with resistance to abrasion and impact. Synthetic construction also means there's no steel body to rust or corrode after exposure to water, mud, sand or coastal environments.
Protective Sheath
An abrasion-resistant sheath covers the working section of the soft shackle, providing another layer between the load-bearing fibres and the equipment it's connected around. This helps reduce everyday wear during normal recovery use. The sheath doesn't make the shackle suitable for sharp edges, burrs or damaged recovery points. Always use appropriately rated equipment with a smooth contact surface and suitable bend radius.
Easy to Inspect and Maintain
Before and after a recovery, inspect the shackle and protective sheath for:
- Cuts or damaged fibres
- Excessive abrasion
- Heat damage
- Sand or grit contamination
- Damage or significant wear to the protective sheath
After muddy or sandy use, clean the shackle as required and allow it to dry thoroughly before returning it to storage.
Great For
- Lighter 4WD recovery setups
- Winch recovery connections
- Recovery rings
- Compatible recovery hitches
- Properly radiused recovery points
- Side-by-side and recreational vehicle recovery
- Marine and agricultural applications within the rated capacity
Always make sure every component in the recovery system is appropriately rated for the recovery being performed.
