Product details

For heavy-duty recovery setups where a higher-capacity connection is required, the Saber 24K Soft Shackle delivers serious strength without the weight and bulk of traditional steel hardware. Manufactured from SaberPro fibre with a 24,000kg minimum breaking strength, it combines high-strength synthetic construction with an abrasion-resistant protective sheath around the working section of the shackle. Despite its substantial recovery rating, the complete shackle weighs just 250g, making it easy to carry, handle and store as part of a properly equipped 4WD recovery kit.

Key Features

  • 24,000kg minimum breaking strength
  • SaberPro fibre construction
  • Abrasion-resistant protective sheath
  • High abrasion and impact resistance
  • Lightweight 250g construction
  • Compact alternative to traditional steel shackles
  • Flexible synthetic construction
  • Suitable for appropriately rated vehicle recovery applications
  • Also suitable for marine and agricultural applications within its rated capacity
  • Designed and tested in Australia
  • Saber rated recovery products are batch tested to destruction through a NATA-accredited laboratory

Serious Strength Without the Steel

At just 250g, the Saber 24K Soft Shackle provides a 24,000kg minimum breaking strength without adding another large piece of steel recovery hardware to your vehicle. Its flexible construction also makes it easier to feed through compatible recovery points, recovery rings and other suitably designed recovery equipment. For heavier recovery setups where component ratings become increasingly important, the 24K gives you substantial connection capacity while remaining compact enough to keep permanently in the recovery bag.

SaberPro Fibre

The shackle is manufactured from Saber's proprietary SaberPro fibre, combining high tensile strength with resistance to abrasion and impact. Synthetic construction keeps weight down and also eliminates the rust and corrosion associated with conventional steel shackles after repeated exposure to water, sand, mud and coastal conditions.

Protective Sheath

An abrasion-resistant protective sheath covers the working section of the shackle, adding another barrier between the load-bearing fibres and the equipment they're connected around. This helps reduce everyday wear where the shackle contacts compatible recovery points, rings and other recovery hardware. The sheath provides additional protection but doesn't make the shackle suitable for sharp edges, burrs or damaged recovery points. Always use a smooth, appropriately rated connection point with a suitable bend radius.

Easy to Inspect and Maintain

Check synthetic recovery equipment before and after use.

Inspect the shackle and protective sheath for:

  • Cuts or damaged fibres
  • Excessive abrasion
  • Heat damage
  • Contamination with sand or grit
  • Damage or excessive wear to the protective sheath

After muddy or sandy recoveries, clean the shackle as required and allow it to dry thoroughly before returning it to storage.

Great For

  • Heavy-duty kinetic recovery connections
  • Winch recovery setups
  • Recovery rings
  • Compatible recovery hitches
  • Properly radiused recovery points
  • Heavy 4WD and touring recovery kits
  • Marine and agricultural applications within the rated capacity

Always make sure every component in the recovery system is appropriately rated for the recovery being performed.
