Exotronic 150W Fusion Fixed Solar Panel

The Exotronic 150W Fusion Fixed Solar Panel combines high efficiency N Type TOPCon cells with a compact glass panel format suited to 4WDs, caravans, campers, canopies and marine installations. Measuring 1303 × 525mm, it provides 150W of solar capacity without taking up the roof area of a larger residential style panel. This makes it a useful option where you want meaningful solar input while still leaving room around roof racks, vents, hatches and other touring equipment.

N Type TOPCon Technology

The Fusion Series uses N Type TOPCon solar cells rated to 25.2% cell efficiency. TOPCon technology offers higher efficiency potential and lower degradation than older P Type cell designs, helping make better use of the limited roof space available on a touring vehicle or caravan.

The cell layout also uses an 18 wire current collection design to reduce resistive losses and improve current flow across the cell surface.

Compact 150W Format

At 1303 × 525mm, the 150W Fusion sits in a useful middle ground between smaller narrow panels and much larger high wattage modules. Its proportions suit roof racks, canopies, caravans and campers where you may not have the uninterrupted space required for a full size residential panel but still want enough solar capacity to contribute meaningfully to a touring battery system.

Multiple matching panels can also be combined for larger systems where the complete array remains within the voltage, current and power limits of the selected solar regulator.

Built for Permanent Installation

The panel uses 3.2mm tempered glass with a 25mm black anodised aluminium frame, giving it a rigid construction suited to permanent roof mounted installations. An IP68 junction box and fully potted electrical connections help protect the electrical components from moisture, while salt mist and ammonia resistance make the panel suitable for coastal, marine and agricultural environments. The module is rated for wind loads up to 2400Pa and snow loads up to 5400Pa.

Electrical Performance

At maximum power, the panel operates at 21.4V and 7.01A, with an open circuit voltage of 25.0V. This makes it well suited to 12V battery systems when paired with an appropriate solar regulator. For larger 24V or 48V systems, matching panels can be configured in series or parallel as required, provided the entire array remains within the limits of the regulator.

As with any solar setup, regulator sizing should account for the complete array rather than simply the wattage of an individual panel.

Low Light Performance

N Type TOPCon technology provides strong performance as available sunlight changes throughout the day, helping the panel continue producing useful energy in less than ideal conditions. Partial shade will still reduce panel output, so roof layout and panel positioning remain important. Where several panels are installed together, array configuration can also have a significant effect on how the system responds to shade.
