Exotronic 115W Narrow Fusion TOPCon Fixed Solar Panel

The Exotronic 115W Narrow Fusion Fixed Solar Panel is made for installations where usable roof width is limited but there is still plenty of length available. At 1530 × 355mm, its narrow profile makes it a practical option for 4WD roof racks, canopies, caravans, campers and boats where vents, racks and other equipment can make fitting a conventional width solar panel difficult. Inside the black aluminium frame are high efficiency N Type TOPCon cells rated to 25.2% cell efficiency, giving you 115W of solar capacity from a panel just 355mm wide.

Made for Narrow Roof Spaces

Solar capacity is often limited by the shape of the available roof space rather than the total area. The 355mm width allows the 115W Fusion panel to fit alongside roof racks, hatches, vents, aerials and other accessories where a wider module may not work. At 1530mm long, it makes good use of longer sections of otherwise difficult roof space. For larger systems, multiple matching panels can also be combined where the array voltage, current and total wattage remain within the limits of the solar regulator. 

The narrow format works particularly well on 4WD roof racks and canopies, caravans, camper trailers, boats and other installations where conventional width panels are difficult to position. It can also be used for remote sheds and small off grid systems where a long, narrow panel shape suits the available mounting area.

N Type TOPCon Technology

The Fusion Series uses N Type TOPCon, or Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact, solar cells. TOPCon technology offers higher efficiency potential, lower degradation and strong performance as available light changes throughout the day. In a touring installation, that higher cell efficiency is particularly useful because every bit of roof space counts.

The cells are rated to 25.2% efficiency and use an 18 wire current collection design to help reduce resistive losses and improve current collection across the cell surface.

Built for Permanent Installation

The panel uses 3.2mm tempered glass with a 25mm black anodised aluminium frame, giving it the rigid construction expected from a permanently mounted solar panel.

An IP68 junction box and fully potted electrical connections help protect the electrical components against moisture, while salt mist and ammonia resistance make the panel suitable for coastal, marine and agricultural environments. The module is also rated for wind loads up to 2400Pa and snow loads up to 5400Pa.

Electrical Performance

The 115W panel operates at 18.9V and 6.09A at maximum power, with an open circuit voltage of 22.1V. This makes it well suited to 12V battery systems when used with an appropriate solar regulator. Matching panels can also be configured in series or parallel for larger systems, provided the complete array stays within the regulator's PV voltage, current and power limits.

As with any solar installation, partial shade can significantly affect output. Panel positioning, array configuration and regulator selection all play an important part in getting the best performance from the system.
