50A Anderson Style Parallel Splitter 1 to 2 Cable - Hulk 4x4

The Hulk 4x4 50A Parallel Splitter Cable provides a simple way to split a single 50A grey Anderson style connection into two parallel outputs.

Built with heavy duty 8AWG red and black cable and three 50A grey connectors, the 300mm assembly is useful for 4WD, caravan, canopy and camper electrical systems where two compatible accessories need to share the same supply connection.

It can also be used in suitable solar installations to combine compatible panel connections in parallel, provided the resulting current remains within the limits of the cabling, connectors and solar regulator.

One Input to Two Parallel Outputs

The cable takes a single 50A connection and splits it into two electrically parallel 50A connections. Because the outputs are wired in parallel, both connections operate at the same system voltage while the total current drawn through the common supply cable is the combined current of the connected loads.

For example, if one accessory draws 10A and the other draws 15A, the common side of the splitter will carry approximately 25A. The complete circuit must therefore be sized and protected for the combined load rather than treating each outlet as an independent 50A supply.

Heavy Duty 8AWG Cable

The assembly uses red and black 8AWG cable for a compact, high current connection between the three plugs. At 300mm long, it keeps the split close to the original connection point without adding unnecessary cable length, making it useful in battery boxes, canopies, caravans and compact electrical installations.

50A Grey Anderson Style Connectors

Three grey 50A Anderson style connectors are fitted to the assembly, allowing it to plug directly into compatible grey 50A connections. The genderless connector design means either side of a compatible connection can mate together, making the cable easy to integrate into existing 12V accessory systems. Always confirm that the connector colour, size and contact arrangement match the equipment already installed.

Suitable for Accessories and Compatible Solar Systems

The splitter can be used to supply two 12V accessories from one connection, provided the combined current remains within the rating of the upstream cable, fuse and power source.

It can also be used to connect compatible solar panels in parallel. In a parallel solar connection, voltage remains approximately the same while panel current is combined.

When using it for solar, the panels should have closely matched operating voltages and the combined array current must remain within the solar regulator's input limits.

Circuit Protection

A splitter does not increase the amount of current available from the original supply. The upstream cable, fuse or circuit breaker, connector contacts and power source must all be capable of supporting the combined current of both branches. Individual branch protection may also be appropriate depending on the connected equipment and installation.
